Admissions


The entry requirements into The National Innovation Diploma programme include any of the following:-

  • Five (5) credit level passes in GCE “O” level or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) at no more than two sittings. The five subjects must include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English language and any other subject.
  • National Vocational Certificate (NVC, Final) in Computer Studies from an approved Vocational Enterprise Institution (VEI).
  • 4 Passport photographs
  • JAMB result of not lower than 100
  • JAMB Admission letter
  • Letter of Undertaken
  • Medical Report



Admission for all programmes shall be full Time (F/T) Candidates who are eligible for Full -time admission and those who can satisfy the Governing council that they are not in any employment and if in any employment, must have been fully released by their employers to undertake full-time studies. Registration Procedure for Registration



It is compulsory that all admitted candidates registered with;

  • The Academic Office
  • Their respective Department
  • The Student's Affairs Office
  • The School Library

Details and comprehensive registration procedure would always be made available at the beginning of every academic session. No student shall be permitted to attend lectures or examinations in any session until fully registered in the institute.

Normally a time-limit is to be given within which all registration must have been completed. However, late registration may be considered in exceptional cases after payment of a stipulated fee.

A candidate may, on the provision of convincing reasons, be allowed to suspend his/her registration for an academic in the first instance on the recommendation of the appropriate Head of Department. A student would need to suspend his/her registration as a result of pregnancy, prolong sickness, inability to pay school fees.

Failure of certain paper(s) in Final External or Internal Examinations, suspension due to misconduct, etc. Whatever reason(s) suspension form must be obtained from the Institute Registration payment of appropriate fee. The form must be returned to the office offer after completion before leaving the school. Any student who fails to comply with this regulation will be asked to reapply for admission in order to put his/her record. The maximum period allowed for suspension shall normally academic session.

When a student who suspended his/her registration is back to school he/she must obtain and complete course reactive form at the registry before commencing classes on the payment of appropriate fee. The Institute provost shall consider all reactive suspended registration requests.


Each candidate shall register at the commencement of Session until the completion of the Certificate or diploma programme.


A registration shall be deemed to have lapsed if;



  • The affected student fails to renew his or her registration in any one session

  • The affected student fails to present him or herself for Examination at the expiration of the approved maximum period of study without acceptable reasons.

  • The affected student has been unable to complete the requirements for the certificate or diploma within the approved duration for the programme.


No student shall be allowed concurrently for two Programmes in the Institute. Any student found to have violated this aspect of the registration would forfeit both registrations.
